Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns’ next challenger will be influencer superstar Logan Paul at Crown Jewel. However, one WWE Hall of Famer has an opinion on the matter.

On his “DDP Snake Pit” podcast, wrestling legend Jake “The Snake” Roberts praised Paul as a performer early in his WWE, but he thinks it’s too soon to put the titles on him. He feels Reigns should walk out of the premium event and still be the champion.

“This kid is being fed with a silver spoon, These things are being pushed out there for him. Yeah, he’s busting his ass, and he’s answering the bell ,and he’s doing all these things because he’s physical enough to do those things. He’s a performer, so that gives him another plus. But the worst thing that you can do to him right now would be to put him over. I think it would be the worst thing.”

“I think if he puts up a good fight, maybe a couple steps above good, maybe a great fight, and shows perseverance, that sets the table better for him. … Roman needs to walk out of there with that belt.”

It’s expected for Reigns to end 2022 as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. While Paul will probably not get a world title around his waist anytime soon, The Maverick will probably continue to better his in-ring skills and character to may have a run someday down the road.
