MJF worked hard to establish himself as one of the most controversial and talked about talents in a long time. The Salt Of The Earth is second to none when it comes to cutting a promo as well. MJF recently revealed the original plans WWE had for him.

MJF recently appeared for an interview with Barstool Rasslin’ where he discussed a variety of topics. He exposed his negotiations with Tony Khan and also revealed his WWE extra work when he was 18-years-old. MJF discussed his interaction with stars like Finn Balor and John Cena.

MJF started off by giving his flowers to John Cena’s ‘Never Give Up’ quote. He revealed the first time he met John Cena. MJF was doing extra work for WWE where they painted him up and took a photo of him. They wanted to see how the paint would look like before going live.

MJF was quite literally the paint dummy for Finn Balor. After the paint and photo session, MJF went to wash off his paint where he somewhat looked like Darby Allin. That’s when John Cena walked in and made a comment on his interesting look.

In the words of one of the greatest wrestlers of all time – John Cena – never give up. I met him one time. It was back in the day I was 18. I was doing extra work for WWE and they wanted to paint me up like a Finn Balor cause they were trying to figure out what paint should look like for the show. So they painted me up. They took a photo of me. Finn Balor comes into the room, he was like, ‘Yeah, this is good.’ And I was like, ‘This is wild.’ Like what a wild contempt interaction. Like, couldn’t you guys just like, did like a mock training, like a cartoon.

I was quite literally the paint dummy for Finn Balor. So I leave the room and I wash off as much of it as I can. But obviously I’m doing extra work, so I showed up in a suit. So the only thing I was wearing was dress pants and dress shoes. Basically I looked like Darby Allin. And you never wanna look like Darby Allin. So obviously Cena looked at me and he was like, ‘Interesting, interesting choice of clothes.’ And I said, ‘Thank you John.’ and I walked away. And that was our interaction.

If those photos of MJF in Finn Balor’s body paint ever surface, then it will be a great day for the internet. If anything, fans now have a new holy grail of photography that they can search for.

MJF will be challenging the winner of Jon Moxley vs Bryan Danielson at AEW Grand Slam this week. We’ll have to see if MJF will become the champion or not. Check out the full interview below.
