The Game is currently in the process of bringing back the critically-acclaimed TakeOver series for NXT premium live events, with the upcoming Halloween Havoc PLE being the first to revert back to the pre-NXT 2.0 format.
The card for Halloween Havoc took some shape during NXT this week. Shawn Michaels stripped Solo Sikoa of the NXT North American Championship tonight on NXT. The Heartbreak Kid announced a fatal five-way ladder match to crown the new NXT North American Champion as well
Carmelo Hayes is already in the ladder match. The A-Champ will face Oro Mensah (who beat Grayson Waller to qualify for the match tonight on NXT) and three other competitors at Halloween Havoc.
WWE teased a triple threat match for the NXT Championship tonight on NXT as well. JD McDonagh defeated Tyler Bate to earn a title shot against Bron Breakker. The champion and the challenger had a little stare down inside the ring. Then, Ilja Dragunov’s music hit and he came to the ring.
