WWE has seen a lot of changes, but the practice of changing plans is forever a constant. The card is always subject to change, and that is exactly what happened this week.

It was previously reported that a pitch was made to change the New Day vs. The Street Profits vs. Alpha Academy vs. Los Lotharios match. We have learned that this is out of necessity, and not a “pitch.”

A tenured member of the creative team informed Ringside News that, “there was something being filmed involving Montez and Bianca and earlier this week it was deemed too important not to finalize the filming, and it had to be completed this week.” That being said, Montez Ford won’t be on the show this week.

We have confirmed that the Street Profits are “not at Smackdown tonight.” The match had to change. “It’s not a ‘pitch’ to change the match. It’s changing out of necessity.”

We’ll have to see how things pan out in that big tag team match, but things have to change. Obviously, the Street Profits’ involvement wasn’t imperative, since the match will carry on without them involved.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
