Jerry Lawler was the face of Memphis territory before he joined WWE full-time as a color commentator. The King was paired with Jim Ross and the two created magic for years to come. Lawler had a near-death experience on Raw a decade ago as well.

Jerry Lawler, who is now 72, took to Twitter on Saturday and shared a picture of him getting revived by the medics during an episode of Raw from 2012. Lawler had just returned to the commentary table after his tag team match with Randy Orton against CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler when he suffered a heart attack.

10 years ago today on @WWE RAW from Montreal/Quebec Canada, @RandyOrton and I defeated @CMPunk and @HEELZiggler Then, right after that, I won the match of my life, when I defeated DEATH! After cardiac arrest, my heart did not beat for 22 minutes! Thank you @DocSampson13

That particular contest turned out be Lawler’s last WWE match as well. The King put up a good fight against the Show Off despite his advanced age. Randy Orton won the match for his team after hitting Ziggler with an RKO.
