Persia Pirotta was in the middle of a storyline with Duke Hudson when she was released from WWE. Pirotta and nine other NXT 2.0 superstars were let go earlier this year and this disappointed fans. For the time being, Persia Pirotta’s professional wrestling career is on hiatus as she heals from a minor surgery.

Persia Pirotta, now Steph De Lander, a former WWE NXT Superstar, revealed on social media that she recently suffered a minor injury that will prevent her from competing for the next several months. It is still unknown what kind of injury Pirotta sustained that necessitated surgery.

Hey guys!! I am recovering from a small surgery (I’m ok!) so I will be out of action for the next couple of months. If you’d like to support me there are plenty of ways to do so! On April 29th, WWE let go of Pirotta. She has since participated in three matches, one of which was a June match for XPW against Taya Valkyrie. Pirotta most recently competed for Black Label Pro in July versus Billie Starkz.
