Devon Hannibal Nicholson is a Canadian professional wrestler who has wrestled under the names of Kid Nichols, Hannibal and Blood Hunter. He is also a professional wrestling promoter, running the Great North Wrestling company, and has a YouTube channel, The Hannibal TV. The independent wrestler was recently arrested for assault.
According to PW Insider, Hannibal will go on trial on October 12th in Kingston, Ontario, Canada for allegedly attacking a woman last month. Since his arrest, Nicholson has been detained, and he appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice this morning at 9 AM for a bail hearing.
Nicholson has been released under the supervision of his parents and must either stay with them or contact them daily, has been ordered to have no contact with the victim and will have to abide by a nightly curfew.
Nicholson was in Kingston on August 20th with his girlfriend, according to his YouTube account. He first appeared on the court calendar on August 29th, therefore the incident took place then. After being granted freedom under the supervision of his parents, Nicholson is now required to either live with them or make daily contact with them, refrain from communicating with the victim, and comply under a nightly curfew. Nicholson made headlines after he used spike to stab a referee in Texas, necessitating emergency surgery. The WCPW promoters asserted that Nicholson started his own business. He left the promotion and never came back. The lawsuit Nicholson filed against WWE Hall of Famer Abdullah the Butcher over allegedly being knifed during a match without his knowledge or consent is what made him famous.
Nicholson claimed the incident caused him to contract hepatitis C and cost him the opportunity to sign a WWE developmental contract. In that litigation, Nicholson was given a judgement, however it is unknown if he really collected it. Stay tuned to Ringside News for the latest updates.
