Jon Moxley debuted at AEW Double Or Nothing 2019 and took no time in becoming one of the company’s mainstays. He has competed against the best of the best the company has to offer as well.

Chris Jericho also debuted in 2019 and was the first ever AEW World Champion, as he carried the company through the first year. Jericho also feuded with Moxley over the AEW World Title.

While speaking at the media scrum following AEW All Out, AEW President Tony Khan gave huge props to Jericho and Moxley. He stated that he believes they are the Sting and Ric Flair of AEW.

“We’ve had this incredibly hot run with Chris [Jericho] and Jon [Moxley] here and now we’re as hot as we’ve been. You know, the consistency we had through the summer with Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley is top featured guys on television.

I think of them as almost like the Sting and Ric Flair of this company. Guys that have been there from the beginning that I can always count on and that’ll be associated forever with… as the first two champions of the company.”

Chris Jericho defeated Bryan Danielson at AEW All Out, while Jon Moxley lost the AEW World Championship to CM Punk. We’ll have to see what AEW has planned for both of them.
