Gunther Has His Eye On Brock Lesnar Match

Gunther used to be known as WALTER during his NXT UK days and had a history-making run as the NXT UK Champion. He lost the title to Ilja Dragunov at NXT TakeOver 36, a move that shocked fans. Gunther also has a very interesting opponent in mind.

Gunther finally made his way to the United States as part of the NXT roster, but that didn’t last long. Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser made their main roster debut on Friday Night Smackdown earlier this year and have been mainstays on the brand since then.

After becoming the Intercontinental Champion, Gunther has been booked very strongly as the champion. While speaking with Gorilla Position ahead of WWE Clash at the Castle, Gunther was asked about a potential match with Brock Lesnar, Gunther made it clear he would love a match with Lesnar.

I hope so. I hope anyway, this is successful now, and it becomes a little of a tradition. In Europe overall, they come back once a year or something like that with an event like that.

It would be great. I think he’s a fantastic wrestler and I hope to get in the ring with him.

Lesnar was last seen at WWE SummerSlam after losing to Roman Reigns. He has also been advertised for WWE Day 1 next year. We will have to wait and see whether Lesnar and Gunther ever duke it out or not.
