AEW has a roster full of talent, but Bobby Fish’s exit from the company opened the floodgates when it comes to speculation about who will take off next. Now, we have to squash one rumor that is currently going around.

Former Wrestling Inc owner Raj Giri tweeted out that Malakai Black was denied his WWE, but then he deleted it. This caused the rumor mill to swirl, but that story isn’t limited to Twitter.

Sean Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that they, “heard that rumor within the AEW roster that Black had been unhappy, but the reason why wasn’t something we could report without confirming first-hand.” It was also said that, “AEW sources that we spoke to that had claimed Black wasn’t happy, also said that they believed things had been smoothed over to some degree.”

Malakai Black has four years left in his five-year contract, but reports of him wanting out of his contact are not true. Ringside News was able to independently confirm that the leader of the House of Black did not ask for his release from AEW.

We’ll have to see what happens from this point on. Malakai Black’s character is more to his liking, but many would argue that his booking could be stronger. Only time will tell what the future holds, but All Elite Wrestling has the former Aleister Black locked into a lengthy deal.
