AEW fans are excited about the idea of a video game from the company. Those fans hoping to play as Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler in that game have another thing coming.

According to Sean Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, FTR was removed from the AEW Fight Forever video game. They were in the early planning stages, but word was eventually sent down to nix them.

Sources connected to the game  that we heard from wouldn’t confirm how far into the game FTR were still included, but Fightful first gained word earlier this summer. It was stated that they at least made it to the “model phase” of the game, however. We’re told that FTR were informed of the call, and weren’t too happy about it, as being involved in video games usually also comes with a significant bonus. We’re told that they were originally set to be included in the game, but by Spring of 2022, had been removed.

It’s interesting that AEW took FTR out of the game. Naturally, they should be upset about this. Only time will tell if their contract situation might be a reason for this. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more information.
