Kenny Omega was top star in New Japan Pro Wrestling before he decided to leave the promotion for a new venture in All Elite Wrestling. The Cleaner was instrumental in forming the Jacksonville-based promotion. He even became the AEW World Champion at one point during his career.

Kenny Omega is an executive vice president in addition to being an on-screen talent in AEW. The Best Bout Machine recently attended the AEW backstage meeting, which was called by Tony Khan to discuss talent relations and development.

According to PW Insider, Omega provided his critique which some in attendance saw as “tough love” while the others perceived as “heavy-handed.” The outlet reported that the former AEW World Champion “was the harshest” towards the locker room in his speech.

“… Kenny Omega spoke and was the harshest towards the locker room in what we are told by some came off as “tough love” and by others as really “heavy-handed.” Some saw this as Omega trying to light a fire under the roster and others felt differently.”
