The Usos are the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, and they usually have Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns’ back on both Raw and SmackDown. Jimmy and Jey, however, were absent from the blue brand this week.

Roman Reigns arrived on SmackDown in Montreal without The Usos this week. WWE aired a backstage segment between The Tribal Chief and Sami Zayn. It was revealed in a backstage segment that The Usos had “trouble at the border” that prevented them from entering Canada.

While it’s not confirmed, it is entirely possible the Jimmy Uso’s pending DUI case caused him to not be able to gain access to the Great White North. Reigns needed backup for his confrontation against Drew McIntyre, and Zayn was the right partner in Usos’ absence.

Reigns is set to put his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line against McIntyre at Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, Wales. The match is expected to close the September 3rd premium live event.
