MJF Set To Make AEW Return ‘Somewhat Soon’

MJF hasn’t been seen on AEW television since he cut a pipe bomb promo on Tony Khan where he called him a “f*cking mark.” That hiatus is about to change.

It’s unclear when MJF will be back, but that day is coming. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted today that the Salt of the Earth is on his way back to AEW. No specific timeline was given for his return, but they could certainly use a ratings draw like him.

MJF is currently scheduled to be returning somewhat soon. We don’t know the exact time but the negotiations for a new TV deal will likely be taking place starting in just a few months and into the spring, so the TV ratings numbers probably September to whenever the deal is closed are the most important to date so this recent drop is the worst time to have a drop. 

MJF has been radio silent since his hiatus from AEW started. The company has also not mentioned him at all. This is a very interesting situation that led many fans to think that there are legit issues between the two sides over pay. We’ll have to see what’s next, but MJF is coming back to AEW in one way or another.
