CM Punk made his debut last year at AEW Rampage: The First Dance and instantly became one of their top stars. He competed against numerous top talent since then, especially against Adam Page. Now, Punk is in an interesting situation, and even Jonathan Coachman commented on Punk’s latest controversy.

Punk kicked off AEW Dynamite this week with a promo. He called out Adam Page and issued a rematch to him for the title. However, Page never showed up, and CM Punk dubbed the entire thing as ‘less important.’

CM Punk’s promo on Adam Page was not part of the plans and was shoot. According to Sean Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, it was said that Punk was on the verge of not showing up on the Dynamite episode.

The same report also suggests that some believe Punk might quit AEW, but those close to him don’t think he will. Jonathan Coachman, who currently works for NBC Sports Group, took to Twitter and took a shot at CM Punk.

Wait. I haven’t watched in a long time. CM Punk walk out on a brand? Gasp!!! Shocking. Lol.

After a slew of AEW fans replied to Jonathan Coachman, he replied in epic form. It seems that he’s not even watching AEW, but he does like getting under fans’ skin.

Lol. I honestly could care less. Haven’t watched him for one minute in AEW. I just like stirring wrestling fans up cause it’s so easy.

CM Punk also has backstage heat in AEW after his improvised promo. CM Punk’s promo on Adam Page was also receipt for what Page had said about him months prior. We’ll keep you updated on this developing story right here at Ringside News.
