Maki Itoh had a short run in AEW back in March 2021 and fans enjoyed so much about her. Following her brief run, Itoh had to return to Japan and leave AEW. Fans weren’t happy about that at all and since then, they have wondered when the Japanese star would return to AEW.

Itoh would then return as the Joker entry as part of the Owen Hart Cup Tournament, where she faced off against Britt Baker. She was then gone from AEW television again.

Fans were eagerly awaiting Itoh’s return to AEW, which happened last night during the AEW Dark: Elevation tapings. Itoh partnered up with Emi Sakura to defeat the duo of Skye Blue and former AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida.
