AJ Francis aka Top Dolla was a part of Hit Row in Triple H’s version of NXT. Dolla was partners with Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, Ashante “Thee” Adonis and B-Fab. Unfortunately, Hit Row never got the chance to prove themselves on the main roster because WWE released them from their contract.

On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez revealed the reason behind Top Dolla’s exit from WWE. Alvarez described the former NXT star as a ‘heat magnet,’ saying many people within WWE didn’t like AJ Francis.

“He was a heat magnet, and the way it was described to me was, he (Top Dolla) knows the right people to not be a heat magnet with, and Triple H was one of em. People talked to Triple H about Top Dolla. Triple H was like, ‘Cool to me.’

“So he pushed him and he did all the stuff that they did. There were a lot of people that really didn’t like Top Dolla. So he ended up being released, and now he’s coming back.”
