Chris Jericho squared off against Eddie Kingston in a Barbed Wire Everywhere Death Match on the Fyter Fest special edition of Dynamite two weeks ago. While the match had plenty of color, it was criticized by fans for lacking coherence and containing multiple botches. The Wizard followed that up with a title match against Jon Moxley this week on Dynamite, and it was also a bloody affair.

Sean Sapp said behind Fightful’s paywall that Jericho is currently doing fine and recovering. Sapp reported that Jericho had to get seven stitches to close the fatal wound that he sustained.

Chris Jericho is fine, but received 7 stitches to close the hardway wound that he sustained.

AEW has established a reputation for providing blood on a weekly basis. The Jacksonville-based company uses blood a lot to promote matches to an adult audience. AEW also got dragged after Jericho’s Everywhere Death Match, but it doesn’t look like the blood and guts is going to stop any time soon.
