Io Shirai was already a big name in Japan when she got signed by WWE. Shirai joined the promotion under the watchful eye of Triple H and amazed American audiences with her incredible in-ring work in NXT. Now she is IYO SKY and a main roster Superstar.

IYO SKY shocked everyone when she made a surprise appearance at SummerSlam in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday. The Genius of the Sky appeared with Bayley and Dakota Kai after Bianca Belair’s match with Becky Lynch.

Shirai took to Twitter soon after and reacted to her return to WWE TV. For those not in the know, the former NXT Women’s Champion will no longer go by the name of Io Shirai.

I’m back I’m here I’m… I Y O S K Y #SummerSlam

As previously noted, Vince McMahon shot down the idea of Bayley’s stable with Shirai and Dakota Kai when he was in-charge of WWE. Things changed after Triple H became WWE’s head booker. We’re very happy that this stable got a chance to see the light of day.
