Max Dupri was an absent figure from the WWE. The star made an impact with his NXT debut, as he directly appeared on NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day in February. After moving onto the main roster, he went through drastic transformation. However, he went missing from the WWE programming.

Dupri was part of the Maximum Male Models agency upon his main roster debut. The agency received ma.çé and mån.sôör, who did their parts so well, it’s as though they were meant for it. Dupri recently opened up about his absence.

Sean Ross reported behind Fightful’s paywall that Max Dupri was scheduled for an appearance, but got removed from the segment at the last minute. Vince McMahon himself made the decision a few weeks ago. Max’s storyline sister, Maxxine is being played by Sofia Cromwell.

Max Dupri was unbooked last minute and people associated with the segment weren’t given real concrete information on his status as of now. McMahon had taken a particular interest in the Maximum Male Models angle, as it was all his idea. Mace and Mansoor were said to have been on board with the angle but Eli Drake had some reservations about things.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Max Dupri was not seen as a “people person” backstage, and there was an issue. There was also some doubt about whether he was cut out for the main roster.

The former Eli Drake could definitely come back to the MMM again, as the decision can be reversed in favorable conditions for him. The SmackDown script for the latest edition of the show also went through many changes. One of such changes comes with the beachwear segment, which was initially scheduled for next week but happened on the July 22nd edition of SmackDown.
