Max Dupri’s journey to WWE’s main roster was full of tryouts and time in developmental. The former Eli Drake became LA Knight in NXT, but then he was repackaged as a manager on the main roster. Max Dupri’s time on the main roster is already over.

Dupri didn’t show up on SmackDown this week. Instead, he was replaced by Max’s “sister” Maxxine Dupri, former NXT 2.0 Superstar Samantha Cromwell. That gave ma.çé and mån.sôör a brand new manager.

Ringside News was told by a tenured member of the writing team that, “Max is out.” It was also noted that there was some doubt that he was cut out for the main roster.

We were also told that Dupri, “lacked people skills.” No further information was given, but this issue was obviously a contributing factor to his main roster exit.

Max Dupri is still under WWE contract, and he has a ton of ability. He is also in the self-declared best shape of his career. Only time will tell where he ends up next, but don’t expect to see him return to his fashion manager gimmick.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
