Keith Lee had a memorable run in NXT, which made fans wonder if he would have a solid main roster run in WWE as well. Of course, that really didn’t happen at all. Tony Khan also confirmed Lee will compete at AEW Dynamite Fyter Fest this week.
Keith Lee debuted in AEW a couple of months ago to a large fanfare. Eventually, his booking somewhat fizzled and now he has been teaming up with Swerve Strickland.
The Limitless One recently posted a cryptic tweet about getting bad news and this concerned many fans. While speaking on Busted Open Radio, AEW President Tony Khan clarified that Keith Lee will be competing on AEW Dynamite Fyter Fest.
“I don’t want to get into Keith’s personal business. Keith is here, he is wrestling tonight. He had a family situation. It’s not my place to talk about it. Keith is here and here to wrestle, as I understand it. I can’t really comment on what is happening, but we’re going to support him through what is happening.”
It remains to be seen what will happen with Keith Lee. It is likely he will be taking time off after this week’s show, so we’ll have to see when he will be back.
