Vince McMahon was the CEO of WWE and has been one of the biggest names in the pro wrestling business for decades. He does whatever he wants to do, whenever he wants to, and that’s never changing. Chris Jericho also claimed that Vince McMahon is ‘just a dude at heart’ as well.
Mr. McMahon managed to make headlines for all the wrong reasons after he secretly paid $3 million as settlement to a departing employee. Because of that, McMahon is currently under investigation.
McMahon also paid $12 million in hush money as well, and this once again opened up can of worms. While speaking on the True Geordie podcast, Chris Jericho claimed that Vince McMahon is ‘just a dude at heart’ as he discussed their relationship.
“Vince is just the lad at heart. He’s just a f**king dude. And yes, he’s very intimidating. And he’s a billionaire. And he’s, you know, the creator of this massive, iconic company. But deep down, he’s just a dude that likes to hang out, likes to joke, and likes to drink (…) He’s surrounded by, ‘Yes men’ as most guys in that position are. He doesn’t want ‘Yes men’ and I had a really good relationship with him.”
Jericho also doesn’t think Vince McMahon will get in trouble after the recent misconduct allegations. We’ll have to wait and see what will become of McMahon in the end.
