Randy Orton is a true veteran in the industry, as he has consistently competed in the ring for more than 20 years now. He has earned the respect of fans and fellow WWE Superstars and has been part of numerous memorable moments. Road Dogg also wants to face Orton in a hardcore match.

Earlier this year, WWE chose violence as they released numerous talents and members of staff from their contracts. This included the veteran Road Dogg, who had huge backstage role in the company.

While speaking during an AdFreeShows.com Q&A session, Road Dogg stated that he would make a return to WWE and engage in a program with Randy Orton. This would end in a hardcore match between the two.

“I’ve said this before but not publicly, Randy Orton. Like, look, I don’t know if he will be back, but Randy Orton, in my mind, is one of the best, and I’ve said this before too, television wrestlers. There is a difference between television wrestling and live event wrestling, and Randy is great at both. But really good at telling a story with his body and facials and his, you know, without verbal communication, he is telling a story.

So I would love to have a run with him, maybe like a three-month run that ends up in some kind of Hardcore match or something. I think that would be super cool.”

Road Dogg is also in talks with a pro wrestling company for return to the business. Randy Orton could also miss out on the remainder of this year due to his injury. It remains to be seen whether The Viper will manage to return to WWE television.
