Aliyah was originally penciled in for a Money in the Bank qualifier against Shotzi on an episode of SmackDown from June. Unfortunately, the WWE superstar suffered an injury and was replaced by Tamina in the match. That hiatus from the ring ended tonight.

Aliyah returned to SmackDown this week. She teamed up with Lacey Evans to take on Shayna Baszler and Shotzi on the July 8th edition of the blue brand. For those not in the know, Shotzi deleted her Twitter after blasting haters who criticized her MITB performance.

Sadly, that match didn’t happen, because Evans beat down Aliyah instead. Evans pulled off a full heel turn before their opponents could even be introduced. Now Aliyah could have a score to settle.

We will have to see what WWE does with Aliyah from this point on, but at least she’s back on television.
