Tonight’s SmackDown will feature a one-on-one match between Drew McIntyre and Sheamus where the winner will earn the right to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Clash at the Castle.

It should be interesting to see how things play out on tonight’s show.

SmackDown

SmackDown begins with Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns making his way out to the ring accompanied by The Usos and Paul Heyman. As Reigns poses in the ring he camera shows Mr. Money in the Bank Theory standing at the top of the stage with the briefcase in hand.

*Commercial break*

SmackDown continues live with Reigns in the ring with a mic in his hand. Reigns tells the Fort Worth crowd to acknowledge him, which they do. Reigns says when the tribal chief is in tow, business picks up. Reigns points out the concerned look Heyman has on his face and asks him to explain. Heyman takes the mic and tells Reigns that they have a problem, Brock Lesnar. Heyman says the problem is that Lesnar has one chance left and that when the beast is backed into a corner, that is when he is most powerful. Heyman says we need to see the most violent Roman Reigns if he wants to put down Lesnar for the 10 count in his final title shot.

The Bloodline is interrupted by Theory’s music hitting, where Theory runs to the ring, runs all the way around the ring and back up the ramp and Theory then holds u the briefcase with a smile on his face.

The Viking Raiders vs Jinder Mahal & Shanky

The match begins with Ivar and Shanky in the ring before Mahal immediately makes the blind tag. Ivar slams Mahal to the corner and tags in Erik as the two double team Mahal in the corner with a series of strikes. Mahal hits a kick and goes to tag Shanky, who is not on the apron as he dances on the floor. The Viking Raiders take advantage and double powerbomb Mahal who is covered for the three count.

Winners: The Viking Raiders

After the match Erik and Ivar continue to beat down Mahal until The New Day come out. Kingston says they have beaten them down the last two weeks but they’re still standing there. Kingston and Woods run into the ring to fight against Erik and Ivar, and it goes about as well as the last two weeks. The Viking Raiders make quick work of The New Day and Ivar hits a slam to Kingston from the middle rope, The Viking Raiders yet again leave The New Day beaten down in the middle of the ring.

Back live with Intercontinenta Champion Gunther in the ring set for an open challenge for his championship. Ludwig Kaiser tells the crowd that none of the fans in attendance are even worthy of seeing Gunther compete tonight. and Gunther says a challenger needs to earn his opportunity. The two are interrupted by Shinsuke Nakamura, who comes down to the ring to answer Gunther and challenge Ludwig Kaiser to a match

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Ludwig Kaiser

The match begins with Nakamura taking ludwig down with a series of quick strikes. Gunther causes a distraction allowing Ludwig to take a cheap shot to gain the momentum in his favor.

*Commercial break*

The match continues live with Nakamura hitting a drop kick. Nakamura follows with a kick to the back of the neck and an enziguri. Nakamura hits a running knee and covers for a two count. Nakamura hits the Kinshasa and covers for three.

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura

After the match, Gunther enters the ring and yells at Ludwig to get up, Gunther hits Ludwig with three chops to the chest to serve as punishment for Ludwig’s defeat.

SmackDown returns with the new SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan in the ring being interviewed by Michael Cole. Cole says the Morgan cashed in on an injured Ronda Rousey who will likely want a rematch as soon as SummerSlam. Morgan welcomes the challenge and says it means everything to her to be the champion. Morgan is interrupted by Natalya making her way out to the ring. Natalya says the only reason Morgan is the champion is because of her. Natalya gets right in Morgan’s face in the ring when Ronda Rousey then makes her way out to the ring. Rousey calls out Natalya taking credit for injuring her. Natalya attacks Rousey behind her back and then Morgan throws Natalya out of the ring.

Ronda Rousey vs Natalya

SmackDown continues with this impromptu match beginning. Rousey brings Natalya to the mat with a series of kicks. Rousey slams Natalya’s knee off the ring apron and Natalya rolls outside of the ring and Rousey chases after her. Rousey slams Natalya off the apron and locks in the ankle lock on the apron breaking the hold at the count of four. Rousey locks in the ankle lock in the middle of the ring and Natalya is forced to tap out.

Winner: Ronda Rousey

SmackDown continues with Max Dupri ready to showcase his models in thier new ‘Tennis collection” and Max’s models, Mace and Mansoor walk down the runway in their new tennis collection outfits.

Shayna Baszler & Shotzi vs Aliyah & Lacey Evans

Lacey Evans makes her way out to the ring to a less than favorable reaction from the crowd. Evans says she id disgusted with the response she gets from the crowd. Evans says the crowd is jealous that nobody there could go through half of what she has went through in her life. Evans calls herself an American hero and demands the respect she has earned. Evans goes to leave the ring and Aliyah tries to stop her and Evans hits Aliyah with the woman’s right.

Evans leaves the ring as the scheduled tag team match apparently is not going to happen, with no word on if Baszler and Shotzi are even in the arena tonight.

The Usos vs Los Lotharios

SmackDown return’s live with our championship contender’s match already underway. Humberto and Angel hit a double kick to Jey Uso and go for a double dive to the outside but stop to taunt The Usos on the outside. Jey Uso tags in and Jimmy and Jey team up to hit a pop up Samoan drop. Angel dives to the outside and jimmy hits with a super kick in mid air. Jey hits Humberto with a super kick and tags Jimmy in. The Usos hits the 1D and Jimmy covers for three.

Winners: The Usos

Drew McIntyre vs Sheamus

Before our main event begins Sheamus begins to cut a promo but is interrupted by repeated coughing. Sheamus says that he cannot compete until he gets tested. Sheamus says instead McIntyre will wrestle tonight against Butch

Drew McIntyre vs Butch

The match begins with Butch running right to McIntyre with a series of punches. McIntyre hits a belly to belly throw. McIntyre hits the Glasgow kiss and counts down but is distracted by Ridge Holland allowing Butch to strike from behind. McIntyre hits a neck breaker, counts down and then hits the Claymore and covers for the three count.

Winner: Drew McIntyre

SmackDown ends with Drew McIntyre breaking the top rope while swinging his sword in attempted murder.
