A-Kid Set To Undergo Name & Gimmick Change

One of the constants in WWE is their talent undergoing name and gimmick changes for no rhyme or reason. There are a few instances where repackaging a star has helped them, but it is rare. Now even A-Kid will be undergoing a change soon.

As seen during this week’s WWE NXT: The Great American Bash event, a vignette aired for a wrestler named Axiom, hyping his arrival. This is actually the vignette for A-Kid.

The video did not show his face, but it was evident that it was A-Kid when they showed a camera shot of the back of his head. His silhouette is rather unique. By the looks of it, he will have a math gimmick going forward.

Axion signed with WWE back in 2019 as part of the NXT brand. He went on to win the first NXT UK Heritage Cup back in 2020 as well. We’ll have to see how Axiom will fare in his new gimmick.

A-Kid will mark a new addition in a growing line of NXT UK Superstars that the company is plucking from that brand for NXT 2.0. Only time will tell what the future holds for that brand.
