Liv Morgan has seen a tremendous amount of growth since her WWE debut a few years ago as part of the Riott Squad. She has honed her craft and become one of the top stars of the WWE Women’s Division now. WWE has big plans for her at SummerSlam as well after her big Money in the Bank win.

Morgan then cashed in on Ronda Rousey at Money in the Bank and became the new Smackdown Women’s Champion. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the current plan will see Morgan defend her title against Rousey at SummerSlam. This could also lead to a short reign for the former Riott Squad member.

The fans won’t be happy with [Liv losing the title at SummerSlam]. But I don’t think the idea is to go with Ronda as a heel, because Charlotte Flair is going to be her opponent when she comes back.

Bryan Alvarez then noted that if the plan is to take the title off Morgan at SummerSlam then they don’t want to turn Ronda Rousey heel. Then Dave Meltzer replied to say, “the smart thing for me is for Charlotte Flair to beat her if that’s the way they wanna go, because that will get that heat, you know they’ll hate Charlotte Flair for it, and then Ronda will chase Charlotte Flair for it.”

It was also noted that Charlotte Flair can always return and take that title from Morgan, but that might not be the current plan. If it did go down, then that would promise that The Queen gets plenty of heat, and that could then lead to Rousey vs Flair.

We will have to wait and see how WWE books Liv Morgan and Ronda Rousey’s feud in the coming weeks. Fans certainly hope Liv Morgan will have a long reign as the champion.
