Lacey Evans is usually known for her Sassy Southern Belle character, which skyrocketed her to popularity. However, Evans was part with storyline alongside Charlotte & Ric Flair. The storyline never explicitly said it, but it suggested that Ric Flair was the father of the child Evans was pregnant with.

The storyline got dropped after Evans took her leave to deal with her pregnancy. Her return then came after WrestleMania 38, when the vignettes for it started airing. The star came with a completely re-defined onscreen persona, which she says is truly herself.

Evans spoke with Rick Ucchino of Bleav in Pro Wrestling, and revealed she wanted to return sooner. The star was apparently ready only 6 weeks after delivering her baby. However, she just wasn’t ready.

Six weeks post-partum, I pushed my baby out and came running down, ready to rock and roll. It just was not my time to be ready to do so.

Evans then revealed how she completely changed her persona on the show. She said that he chose to be herself rather than Sassy Southern Belle. She said that she wanted to use the platform and make people realize their potential since her NXT days.

Since NXT, I have always wanted to use this platform and use this microphone to show the world what they are capable of, regardless of where they come from. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I literally came from the trailer park, straight into WWE and I’m surrounded by the Charlotte Flairs, Becky Lynchs, Nattie (Neidharts), that have so much time and names invested and family ties that make them so strong. I look around, and there was a voice that tells me, ‘what are you doing here?’ I say, ‘No.’ I relate and there are people out there who can relate to that. You know what I did, I said, ‘screw this, I am Lacey Evans. I am going to come in here and stand toe to toe with these women and I’m going win and make it and pave my path and be a name that will be remembered, regardless of who I am.’

Evans then added that WWE apparently liked the idea of her transformation. The WWE diva is all set to be a part of the Women’s Money in the Bank match. She is also going to be part of a six-woman tag team match in the upcoming edition of Friday Night SmackDown.
