AEW and NJPW joined forces to present Forbidden Door in Chicago, but Tony Khan’s locker room seems to have a curse attached to it when it comes to injuries. Sadly, it seems a Top Guy is out now.

The IWGP World Tag Team Championships and ROH World Tag Team Championships were both on the line in the same match. That winner-takes-all contest saw FTR battle Jeff Cobb & Great-O-Khan and Roppongi Vice in the second match of the main show in Chicago.

FTR received the biggest reaction by far, and that crowd was in for quite a contest when the bell sounded. Each team had their opportunity to really show off during the match as part of this historic pay-per-view.

During the match, Dax Harwood was taken to the back. Later on, Harwood came back, but he might have been injured and just gutting things out. We will have updates later.

In the end, FTR pulled through and won the match. This means FTR will likely spend some time in Japan, because they are now the top tag team in NJPW. They are also still the ROH Tag Team Champions which is pretty cool too.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
