Io Shirai Expected To Make In-Ring Return Soon

Io Shirai became one of the highlights of NXT’s women’s division over the years. She is a former NXT Women’s Champion and competed in numerous top matches as well. She is expected to return soon as well.

As previously reported, Shirai has been out of action with an injury. In fact, she likely suffered the injury during NXT Stand & Deliver earlier this year.

Even Zoey Stark has been out since October 26, 2021 when she suffered a Torn ACL & Meniscus in a three-way tag team ladder match where she and Shirai were defending the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, both Zoey Stark and Io Shirai are expected to return “relatively soon”. We’ll have to see what WWE will have planned for them once they return.
