‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan has kicked out from a lot of serious health issues in the past several years. Duggan has battled cancer twice. He also had heart condition that put him in the ICU. In his most recent update, Hacksaw shared some inspiring words about his ongoing fight.

Duggan has been battling prostate cancer. He said that he has been feeling pretty sorry for himself lately. While he was getting ready for bed last night, he had an epiphany.

The WWE Hall of Famer noted that he only has six more weeks of radiation therapy. After having his prostate removed, he was not in the best head space. Since then, Hacksaw has taken stock of his blessings and realizes that he is thankful for where he’s at.

“Hey folks, I was just in there brushing my teeth, getting ready for bed, feeling sorry for myself. You know, it wasn’t that long ago I had kidney cancer. I lost a kidney and then just three years ago, I had all the heart problems where I was in the ICU unit. I ended up having to have an ablation. Then I had two other incidents where I was in the ICU unit. Then I get diagnosed with prostate cancer, they take out my prostate and I still have to have radiation because the cancer’s still in me, so I’m sitting there feeling a little sorry for myself.

But then I look in the mirror, and the man in the mirror’s looking back hard at me, and it’s, ‘Duggan, pull your head out. Stand up straight and God bless that you only have six more weeks of radiation. God bless that you only have six more weeks of radiation. Look around. Look around. You’ve got it a lot better than a lot of other people, God bless. So, Hacksaw, pull your head out. I’m going to do it. And folks, make sure you get your physicals. Save your life!”

Jim Duggan has proven more than once that he is a fighter. With a month and a half of radiation treatments left, Hacksaw is counting his blessings. Everyone at Ringside News is pulling for Duggan to make a full recovery in his latest battle.
