Ever since CM Punk made his debut last year at AEW Rampage: The First Dance, he has worked hard to elevate younger talents. For the most part, that is exactly what Punk ended up doing. His feud with MJF was given a ton of props recently as well.

The Second City Saint was feuding with MJF for the past few months. They went on a back-and-forth war of words every week as well. It culminated in a bloody Dog Collar match at AEW Revolution on March 6th.

CM Punk would end up winning the match after Wardlow betrayed MJF. While speaking on “Wrestling with Freddie”, Freddie Prinze Jr. stated that CM Punk and MJF’s feud is the best wrestling story in over a decade.

“I do give AEW credit for the best wrestling story in over a decade with the MJF and CM Punk storyline. Which, if you haven’t seen it, I’m sure someone edited it together on YouTube, if not, AEW themselves and their social media and YouTube group, they cut together some pretty awesome stuff.”

MJF previously made it clear he is not done with CM Punk just yet. We’ll have to see whether the two cross paths somewhere down the line, as it seems uncertain right now.
