Bryan Danielson is one of the most dominating forces in AEW. While the former WWE Champion almost instantly got huge support from fans, his in-ring performance style also came with a lot of finesse. The star was going strong, until he faced an injury.

Danielson is slated to address his participation, or the lack thereof, for AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door and Dynamite’s Blood & Guts on Wednesday. While there is a lot of positive sentiment for his potential appearance, fans might have to wait a bit longer.

Bryan Alvarez said on Wrestling Observer Live that Danielson probably needs more time to heal. Even though there was a lot of hype created with mentioning Bryan Danielson vs Zack Saber Jr on AEW Rampage, it might be a bit premature.

What I can tell you is that even though they were talking about Bryan Danielson vs Zack Saber Jr on Rampage which was taped last Wednesday and even though he was announced for the show this coming Wednesday, the impression I was given as of today is that he is not cleared and he might not be cleared for a while

Alvarez added that even if the match against Zack Saber Jr gets announced tomorrow, his impression is that the match won’t happen. There’s also a strong possibility that Danielson might not be cleared to appear in Blood & Guts edition of AEW Dynamite as well.

He could show up tomorrow and announce that there is a match against Zack Saber Jr, but right not I’m under the impression that the match is not going to take place and I’m also thinking that he may not be doing Blood & Guts. That is not confirmed, so we’ll know more when he does his promo [on AEW Dynamite]

The AEW talent was last in the ring at May 29th’s ‘Double Or Nothing.’ Initial reports even suggested that he was to return for action in a couple of weeks, it’s still up in the air. The most likely scenario is that Danielson’s fans would have to wait eagerly for a little longer.
