For those who do not know, WWE Superstars, especially on Monday Night RAW, are routinely made just stand in the ring for a long time before their matches. This has been going on for a long time now. In fact, WWE Superstars are frustrated with this as well.

The new format for Monday Night RAW has now increased the wait time. Between the advertisements, video packages, interviews and recap segments, the downtime between the start of an entrance to when a match starts is now more than 15 minutes.

According to Fightful’s paywall, many WWE Superstars are frustrated with the new norm of just standing in the ring for a long time. They have already informed WWE higher-ups of their issues.

The wrestlers were also told that the TV show’s format “was what it was” and it was intended to “improve the show flow.” When a star was asked what they did during the wait time, they said “talk to the crowd, dance, get annoyed that I’m waiting that long.” WWE will do what they feel is best for business and that’s unlikely to change anytime soon.
