Shotzi Blackheart had a special surprise for WWE fans back in 2020 when she showed up to NXT: WarGames in tank. Shotzi’s tank became an iconic part of her presentation. Sadly, a recent character change meant the quirky superstar no longer got to make her entrance in the armored vehicle.

In 2021, Shotzi brought the tank to SmackDown as a symbol of her dominance. She noted that the greats of history used tanks to conquer lands. She intended to do the same with Tegan Nox on Smackdown.

Things ultimately didn’t work out with the tank or with Tegan. Shotzi then had a long dry spell of television appearances. She has been competing more often, but with the notable absence of a tank. Shotzi recently talked to Ryan Satin about what happened.

“That wasn’t my decision, but I’m embracing the change because I’ve been the ballsy badass my entire career, even on the Indies. I was always looked at as a babyface. It’s nice after seven years later to finally change up the character and find something new within me. I think I’m finally grabbing the horns and rolling with it.”

Shotzi has remained a fan favorite, even when she isn’t as active on WWE television. She loves having fun with the WWE Universe online. Fans connect to her persona with ease.

Perhaps someday Shotzi’s tank will return. For now, she is embracing her current character after turning heel. It will be interesting to see how WWE handles her new attitude.
