William Regal’s contributions to the pro wrestling world can never be understated. Regal is regarded as one of the greatest minds in pro wrestling and many would agree with that. Regal also talked about his 2008 suspension in WWE.

Back in 2008, William Regal beat CM Punk in the final of The King of the Ring tournament on Monday Night RAW. There were huge plans for him but they were nixed after he was suspended less than a month later due to a wellness violation.

He was suspended for for 60 days due to this. While speaking on the latest episode of the Gentlemen Villain podcast, William Regal claimed that he still has no idea what caused him to fail the drug test in 2008.

“I still don’t know what it was about, something showed up on my drug test, and again there’s been things said about me ‘oh he relapsed’ no, that’s not true at all.”
