Vince McMahon is facing a major test in his controversial career. McMahon stepped down as CEO of WWE today after allegations of an improper relationship with an employee being hushed with cash payments. Despite the major issue, McMahon will appear on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown.

WWE issued a brief press release about the matter. They did not go into detail about what fans can expect. The company simply noted that McMahon would be on the show.

“WWE (NYSE: WWE) today announced that Mr. McMahon will appear on SmackDown tonight at 8 pm ET live on FOX.”

Vince McMahon was replaced by Stephanie McMahon. Stephanie became the company’s interim CEO. McMahon said he will cooperate with the investigation and plans to accept its findings.

Stephanie McMahon sent message to WWE employees announcing her return. McMahon previously had taken an indefinite hiatus from the company. It was noted in WWE’s original press release about Vince stepping aside that he would remain head of creative.

It will be very interesting to see what Vince McMahon has to say. There are multiple angles he could come from. As always, McMahon’s unpredictable nature will make this must-watch television.
