Stephanie McMahon has been a part of WWE for her entire life. She interned for her father’s company when she was in college and she eventually found herself on television every week. She took on a corporate role in the company, but that is stopping very soon.

McMahon announced that she is taking a leave of absence from WWE, effective tomorrow. She made this announcement via Twitter and it immediately garnered quite a response.

As of tomorrow, I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE. WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family.

Stephanie McMahon’s husband, Triple H, suffered cardiac incident months ago and his role in WWE was changed as well. It is unclear exactly what the reason is for this decision, but WWE will have to find out a way to operate without the Billion Dollar Princess around.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
