Since AEW formed in 2019, fans have constantly made a meme out of people, places, and things being ‘All Elite.’ Any time somebody leaves another company or voices their displeasure, the “… is All Elite” graphics come out of the woodwork. It’s all in good fun, but Kayla Braxton recently took a moment to remind fans that the word existed before Tony Khan started his company.

Braxton is known to be very playful with fans on social media. She also frequently shares hilarious stories from the road and occasionally beefs with Paul Heyman. Kayla Braxton is one of the best follows on wrestling Twitter.

Kayla innocently tweeted that she had never eaten fast food seafood of any kind. She went on to say that this made her “elite.” Fans flooded the comments with “Kayla Braxton is All Elite” memes and other AEW-related material. Kayla then posted her response.

“Y’all know the word “elite” existed before 2019, right?”

Of course, Kayla Braxton was just fooling around with her post. There did not seem to be much vitriol in the original replies. It was mostly just fans having some fun.

As harmless as it seems, it was another example of how online tribalism causes strange behavior on social media. Kayla’s response was met with a handful of people not getting the joke. Braxton is likely laughing about every person who is taking the discussion seriously.
