Cody Rhodes shocked fans when he wrestled Seth Rollins with torn pec inside Hell in a Cell this past Sunday on pay-per-view. The American Nightmare was scheduled to go under the knife today.

Cody’s wife, Brandi Rhodes, took to Twitter on Thursday and revealed the doctors were able to perform a successful surgery on Cody. For those not in the know, Cody completely tore his pectoral muscle before the June 5th premium live event.

The doctor just repaired Cody’s pectoral tendon which was torn completely off the bone. Successful surgery. He is on the road to recovery now.

The American Nightmare was a big part of WWE’s creative plans moving forward. Due to his injury, Cody Rhodes will likely be out of action for six to nine months as he heals a torn pectoral muscle.
