Sean Sapp reports behind Fightful’s paywall that Cody Rhodes is going under the knife this week. His surgery is slated for Thursday to repair his torn pectoral muscle. He is not alone, because plenty of high profile WWE Superstars have suffered the same injury.

Sources near Rhodes state that as of this morning, Cody Rhodes is slated to undergo surgery to repair the torn pectoral muscle this Thursday. Notable pectoral injuries in pro wrestling included Triple H (five months out), Elias (five months), Hiromu Takahashi (six months), and John Cena’s miraculous recovery in less than four months.

Cody Rhodes gave it his all at Hell in a Cell and it showed in the results of the match. The American Nightmare cemented himself in WWE’s main event if he hadn’t done so already. Now fans will have to wait for his return, but at least his surgery is scheduled to take place soon so his recovery process can begin.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
