Jake Atlas was released from WWE last year and then announced that he was stepping away from pro wrestling. His pro wrestling hiatus did not last long as he made his way to AEW and signed contract with the company. His AEW future now seems uncertain after recent events.

Jake Atlas squared off against Adam Cole during a previous episode of AEW Rampage. During the match, Jake Atlas suffered a knee injury which caused many fans to be concerned.

Atlas would then undergo successful surgery to repair his torn ACL and has been recovering since then. However, Atlas was recently arrested on battery charges after he assaulted his partner.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Jake Atlas was never put on the full-time AEW roster page. Any fans who think that he was removed are mistaken, because he was never on there.

It was noted that Atlas signed a per appearance deal with AEW rather than a full-time contract. That being said, he wouldn’t have appeared on television until his injury was healed up anyway. Now his status seems to be all that much more up in the air after his recent battery arrest.
