AEW has played host to many people who decided to leave WWE or they received sad phone call from Johnny Ace about budget cuts. Now another former WWE NXT Superstar has joined the ranks of Tony Khan’s company.

Jake Atlas was released from WWE and later announced that he was stepping away from pro wrestling. That time away didn’t last very long at all, because he soon found his way to AEW.

Tony Khan tweeted out to make the big announcement that Jake Atlas signed a deal with AEW. Since TK made this announcement himself it’s likely that fans will see Jake Atlas on television soon.

Congratulations on winning your tryout match last night, Jake Atlas! What a great @AEW debut, and now @kennymarquez, I’ll see you Tomorrow night in Newark at the debut of #AEWDynamite on @TBSNetwork! Safe travels, and…

Jake Atlas previously worked an AEW Dark taping. A lot of people supposed he signed, but they waited until the episode aired to make the news official.

Atlas is not only a great wrestler, but he also has some very good friends in AEW. He is very close friends with Jungle Boy and many others. Needless to say, he will fit right in.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
