CM Punk Says Match Against Dax Harwood Was The Most Perfect Match He Ever Had

CM Punk made his debut last year at AEW Rampage: The First Dance and since then, he has become a huge part of AEW programming. He has competed in several solid matches since his debut. Punk also really has a high opinion of his match against Dax Harwood.

Back in March, CM Punk squared off against Dax Harwood in a singles match on AEW Dynamite. It turned out to be an excellent match, full of old-school fundamentals.

The Second City Saint won the match after he applied the Anaconda Vice on Harwood. The match was also given props for being major league quality match. ESPN’s Marc Raimondi recently took to Twitter and revealed that CM Punk finds his match against Harwood to be the most perfect match he ever had.

“That’s the dragon I’m now chasing. I’m trying to replicate that feeling I had after that match. I never, ever say this, but to me that was the most perfect match I’ve probably ever had.”

CM Punk also might have actual backstage heat in AEW. He is set to face Adam Page for the AEW World Title at Double Or Nothing on May 29th. We’ll have to see how Punk will fare against Page.
