Robert Roode returned to in-ring action with WWE after an absence of nearly two months. Roode competed at WWE’s weekend live events in Canton, Ohio, and Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Dirty Dawgs member did so without his partner, Dolph Ziggler.

Fans were delighted to see that Roode has reverted to his “Glorious” character. The gimmick went viral due to the catchy theme song and “Glorious Bomb” meme. It looks like that version of Bobby Roode could be coming back.

The last match Robert Roode had on WWE television came on April 1 at SmackDown. Roode competed in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal. He also wrestled with The Miz against the Mysterios and appeared with Ziggler during his brief NXT feud with Bron Breakker. Bobby also used the “Glorious” theme at that time.

WWE frequently uses house shows as a testing ground for new or changing characters. If the reaction was strong, they may make the switch permanent. For now, nothing has been made official.

It is not known if the “Glorious” one will return to television as a face or a heel. The tag team with Ziggler’s status is also up in the air. With Roode working matches again, it could be a matter of time before fans know for sure.

Robert Roode was most recently a member of the Raw roster. No change has been announced by WWE at this time. Perhaps he will turn up on tonight’s show, which fans can follow live right here at Ringside News.
