Dustin Rhodes Celebrates Major Sobriety Milestone

Dustin Rhodes has a lot to celebrate these days. “The Natural” has had a major career revival since joining AEW. His daughter recently got married. It all became possible because Dustin took steps toward bettering himself.

Rhodes’ substance abuse problems in the past have been well documented. Many became familiar with Dustin’s issues when his behavior on “The Plane Ride from Hell” was exposed to a national audience via “Dark Side of the Ring.” Those days are long in the past for Dustin Rhodes.

Today, Dustin took to Twitter to celebrate a major milestone in his journey towards continued sobriety. Rhodes noted that it has been 14 years since he last used drugs or alcohol. He also took the opportunity to share some encouraging words for others struggling with addiction.

Dustin said he reached out to his father, Dusty Rhodes when he felt like he was hitting rock bottom. The WWE Wellness Program helped him get into an appropriate rehab facility. Since then, Dustin has been able to keep things going one day at a time.
