Drew McIntyre has improved leaps and bounds since his debut back in 2007. McIntyre honed his craft and went on to become a two-time WWE Champion as well. He is also unlikely to be Roman Reigns’ next challenger, but his time is coming.

For the past few weeks, Roman Reigns has been engaged in a feud with Drew McIntyre. The Scottish Warrior is certainly no stranger to The Tribal Chief either. However, they never had their title match as it was postponed for a later event.

They took part in a 6-man tag team match at WrestleMania Backlash but haven’t had a singles match since Survivor Series 2020. According to Dave Meltzer on The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Drew McIntyre is not planned to be Roman Reigns’ next challenger at Money In The Bank.

This changes by the hour but right now the plan is not for McIntyre to challenge [at MITB], since the working idea is Reigns vs. McIntyre on 9/3 in Cardiff. There doesn’t appear to be a lot of options, as Goldberg vs. Reigns was already blown off, as was Lesnar, although you could always do it again.

The only other guys at this point who are pushed at that level would be Bobby Lashley or Randy Orton. They did a Shinsuke Nakamura tease, but then he lost to Sami Zayn, so that hardly feels like a worthy stadium title challenger. But nothing is fully settled.

Drew McIntyre also teased a stadium show match against Roman Reigns. However, it seems McIntyre won’t be challenging The Tribal Chief just yet. Only time will tell who they pick to face Reigns at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. We’ll have to see who steps up to face the Tribal Chief next.
