WWE will finally make their long-rumored return to UK stadium this September. Fans have been waiting for such an event for more than 30 years. The venue will be Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.

The huge announcement had fans in the UK buzzing. It has been seemingly forever since a major WWE event was held there. It sounds like the building will be packed.

Alex McCarthy of BT Sport reports that WWE sources indicated that nearly 60,000 fans have pre-registered for tickets. That number was just the first 24 hours. The huge fan interest is a new record for any WWE event, including WrestleMania.

“WWE tell me more than 59,000 people pre-registered for tickets for WWE’s UK PPV in Cardiff in the first 24 hours.

This marks a new company record for any event – even WrestleMania! The UK is gonna go off”

It should be a wild atmosphere in Cardiff when the WWE superstars take over on September 3. The event has been a long time coming. The WWE Universe in the UK is well aware, and they are ready to snatch up tickets at a record pace. Maybe WWE shouldn’t have waited so long to give a pay-per-view event to a fan base that has begged for it.
