WWE just hired a new General Counsel & Corporate Secretary to succeed Samira Shah. Vince McMahon expressed his gratitude towards the outgoing WWE executive. In a press release he spoke about the two, Shah and the new hire.

McMahon commented on the new hire, Elisebeth Collins who will report directly to him. He addressed the departure of Shah and thanked her for her time with WWE. He also wished her well in her future endeavors.

“Elisebeth’s experience providing counsel on a wide variety of legal and business matters will help us execute our company’s ambitious plans to continue to grow global revenue and drive shareholder value,” McMahon said. “I would like to thank Samira for her time at WWE and wish her well in future pursuits.”

Shah has over twenty years of experience in representing companies, however she joined WWE only 10 months ago. She started in the company in July 2021. Her joining was announced in June. Before WWE, she worked two years as General Counsel for Moda Operandi, and nearly six years with Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP prior to that.

As of right now here is no confirmation on why Shah’s WWE departure, but it is being speculated since November when former WWE Chief Financial Officer Kristina Salen was let go.
